SYNERGISTIA Synergistia is a natural genetic mutation that gives it’s carriers inhuman gifts. The 'gift' varies depending on the carrier's specific mutation. Every ‘gift’ requires the gift of another to provide the carrier with a sense of balance. Failure to find, or loss of this balance often results in the death of the Synergistia carrier.
RATINGS Ratings are a numerical value that identifies the strength and control of Synergistia. The fraction reads like so: strength potential of synergistia / control of synergistia Several things are taken into consideration including the raw strength of the ability (how strong it is) , the range of it’s effect (does it only effect the user or those external to the user, or both?), it’s use in defensive and/or offensive situations, and so on. Control measures the ability to restrain, manipulate and release the synergistia and it’s impact on the carrier’s life. 0 indicates nothing. 1-2 is the bare minimum. 3 indicates below average. 4-5 is the average range of a Synergistia. 6-7 means above average. 8-9 is severe. 10 is off-scaled. So, for example, a synergistia with a rating of 6/4 would have above average potential for their synergistia but only average control. A rating of 2/7 indicates a minor synergistia, but with above average control.
CENTRE FOR CONTROL The Centre for Control is responsible for capturing rogue synergistia and educating them in the best use of their gifts. The Centre is divided into four departments to deal with the four overarching breeds of Synergistia. Each department has a head doctor responsible for ensuring the rogue synergistia under their care are regulated and taught to be active, fruitful members of society. Director - Brigit Corman Department Heads: Dr. Alekel Miguelin - elementals, earth and water talents Dr. Celia Berger - energy/psionic talents Dr. Morgana Wyler - shifters, transmorphs and regeneration Dr. Somebody - non-morphing physical alterations and chimera
